Der 11. September 2001 war durch die Bilderflut und immense Kraft der urwüchsigen Zerstörung für viele Künstler ein Datum, dem sie sich auch in ihrem Schaffen widmeten. Maf Räderscheidt erlebte diesen Tag dank der Kabelnetz-Firma, die kurzerhand ein zentrales TV-Kabel zerstörte, am Radio und hatte so die Gelegenheit, ihre eigene Bildsprache mit diesem Ereignis in Verbindung zu bringen.
Die Gemälde sind in Öl auf Leinwand gemalt und haben ein Format von 140 x 200 cm.
