Good that it rains a little bit in these minutes. It’s so dry people start speaking about drought. I saw the little streams in the wood vanish. Good that I’m no ballett swan, it would be difficult to find a serious lake to die on. Daily Painting about swanpuddle 21 Juli 2010, 7:37 Manchmal muß ein Schwanentümpel reichen, Tusche und Bleistift auf Aquarell, 24 x 17 cm
Today I’m going to a double feature party: the mayor has birthday and a housewarming party. I think everybody who feels himself being important in our little town will be there, so it could be a gossip factory like the weekly market. Daily Painting about parties 16 Juli 2010, 6:58 Aufforderung zum Tanz, Tusche und Aquarell, 21 x 29 cm
Some people tell me I’m gifted in arts. But in my eyes the real gift is that I can paint, draw or engrave whenever I want to. Each morning I greet my colours and my brushes and I am thankful that I can enjoy the world to the full colours. Daily Painting about colours 10 Juli 2010, 6:25 Ich segne täglich meine Farben, Aquarell mit Tusche, 26 x 17,5 cm
During the world cup it’s fashionable in Germany to decorate your car with the flag of your favourite country. When I work on my landscape painting project I always try to find a flag, but alas! a good landscape has no nationality. Daily Painting about flags 25 Juni 2010, 8:08 Meine Flagge ist die feine Landschaft, Tuschezeichnung auf Aquarell, 17,5 x 23 cm
This is the time of the cherries. And this is not only a hint for ripe fruits but it’s also a song from the french revolution about the power you need going your own way and never giving up. And it is still one of my favourite places in Cologne too. Daily Painting about autonomy 23 Juni 2010, 7:42 Zeit der Kirschen, Tusche und Aquarell, 20 x 21 cm
I worked all day to finish an environment that I will bring tomorrow to the academy. And now I’m tired, covered with paint and very satisfied with myself. Weekend may come. Just two days but I will enjoy them, even when I get older meanwhile. Daily Painting about recreation 18 Juni 2010, 7:40 Traum von zeitlich begrenztem Duftschaumbad, Acryl und Tusche mit Gips und Tintenstift, 32 x 24 cm
When it’s so cold and rainy I dream I would be back in Italy, sun, singing pizzaiolos, the wonderful food and all this art you can find everywhere. But when it’s so wet as in the last days perhaps I end up in Venice – not the baddest place. Daily Painting about my old refuge 31 Mai 2010, 7:41 ohne Titel (Gondoliere), Tusche, Ölfarbe, laviert, 29,8 x 21 cm
Today I held a speech for the photographer Hans Helle. And when I drove home, still inspired, I fell in love with the light over the sea nearby and I remembered that the light is the essential food of the artist, without it we all are dumb! Daily Painting about light 29 Mai 2010, 7:41 Vom Licht angezogen, Aquarell mit Glaskranz und Tusche, 24,5 x 22,5 cm
A wonderful day, sunny and warm. I went into the garden and cuddled a little bit with my plants – until I found an old stick in the rosebed. Then I said to myself: Perhaps this is just the perfect stick to do a quick drawing… Daily Painting done with a stick about the touch of earth 21 Mai 2010, 7:54 Die Erdverbundene, Aquarell mit Tusche und Stock, 22 x 18,5 cm
Today big theft of art in Paris: Picasso’s and other’s masterpieces were deframed and stolen. I know the thief can’t be an artist or he would have taken away the frames! We have enough artworks ourselves! Daily Painting about framework conditions 20 Mai 2010, 7:54 Schlechte Rahmenbedingungen, Bleistift- und Tuscherahmen um Aquarell, 17 x 16 cm
