Today I’m invited in the neighbourhood to the administrator of the woods I use to walk in. It’s fascinating, usually he speaks about all the places I know, and he tells me all the secrets about them. And tomorrow I’m too scared to go there again. Daily Painting about the wood 5 Juni 2010, 3:52 Hide and seek den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht, Aquarell auf Leinwand-Bütten, 18 x 24 cm
A wonderful sunny day. After a productive time in my studio I went into the garden and watched the growth of the roses. The tortoises galloped around me and the dogs laid panting by my side. Pure Inspiration for a lot more art. Daily Painting about fertility 4 Juni 2010, 7:49 Fruchtbare Gartenzeit, Blei- und Buntstift auf Aquarell, 18 x 24 cm
Today is Corpus Christi and in the church next door was a huge procession with hundreds of people, marching band, several priests and billows of incense. But as a real Eifel procession it was totally anarchic and everybody went where he liked and prayed what he liked and sang what he liked. Or he chatted. Daily Painting about processions 3 Juni 2010, 2:47 Prozession, Aquarell, 19 x 17 cm
This was accident day. I fell down the stairs, burnt myself at the oven, dropped pots on my foot, threw flowers out of the window, spilled pink paint on the Pinscher and took a tomato sauce shower. I hope I won’t crash Twitter! Daily Painting about chaos 2 Juni 2010, 7:58 Das Chaos ist weiblich, Aquarell, 26 x 16,5 cm
I’m totally depressed when I have to watch on TV soldiers murdering and hijacking. My dream of global peace is shattered by officially supported violence, again and again. This time it’s Israel, who’s next? Daily Painting about broken hearts 1 Juni 2010, 7:57 Israelische Herzensbrecher, Aquarell, 20,5 x 24,5 cm
Deeply saddened about the death of Louise Bourgeois. I hoped she could live forever. Her art stays. Louise, Aquarell
Today was the official opening of the Dialogues with Schirmer in Heimbach – the old originals and how we artists responded to them. A really interesting show, I liked it a lot even when my feets hurt like hell because of the long speeches. Daily Painting about uncomfortable shoes 30 Mai 2010, 7:51 Nie wieder mit diesen Schuhen, Aquarell auf Postkarte, 10,5 x 14,5 cm
Today I held a speech for the photographer Hans Helle. And when I drove home, still inspired, I fell in love with the light over the sea nearby and I remembered that the light is the essential food of the artist, without it we all are dumb! Daily Painting about light 29 Mai 2010, 7:41 Vom Licht angezogen, Aquarell mit Glaskranz und Tusche, 24,5 x 22,5 cm
Boy, I was so tired yesterday, but it was such an inspiring experience to work with the disabled children, I dreamed a whole symphony of absurd variety: I baked pizza with the sexton or had some difficult adventure being different animals. Daily Painting about dreams 28 Mai 2010, 8:00 In meinem Traum war ich die Maus und du die Katze, Aquarell auf Karton, 17 x 12,5 cm
Today I had in the academy a class of mentally severely disabled children. It was complete madness, total anarchy, unbelievable loud and exhausting but it was one of the most wonderful days of my life. I don’t know why, but I feel spiritually refreshed. Daily Painting about little giants 27 Mai 2010, 7:56 Kleine Riesen, Aquarell, 10,5 x 8 cm
