Art is truth. Truth can’t be nice, handsome and carefree. No regime like China will ever accept art telling the truth. I admire Ai Weiwei for his unbelievable courage to go to China knowing that sooner or later they would try to silence him. He hoped that the world would shout out in protest. Als ich die Nachrichten sah, ging mir der Begriff „Freiheit der Kunst“ durch den Kopf, bitter dass die Freiheit nicht gewährleistet ist, noch bitterer wie wenig Beachtung es findet.
