Today I watched a meeting between young and old: schoolkids performing a little christmas play in a nursing home. And the seniors were so happy, they cheered and sang and laughed… Daily Painting about never being to old to be happy 8 Dezember 2009, 7:52 Die Furcht vor herbstenslanger Fruchtbarkeit, Aquarell, 24,8 x 22,6 cm
I visit another reading today. In autumn when all the leaves are gone you have still the sheets, the leaves with words on the tree of your imagination and they sing a serenade. Daily Painting about the whispering of the sheets in the wood 3 Dezember 2009, 6:14 Blätterwaldrauschen, Aquarell, 25 x 22 cm
Today I decorated the house with ivy and collars and light. Not too avantgardistic I know, but I miss the green a little bit in these days. But all this will help to wait for the spring. Daily Painting about the spring stealing the green 30 November 2009, 7:52 Verliebt ins Grün was mir der Frühling stahl, Aquarell mit Kohle, 25 x 22,3 cm
Today I was on a Christmas Market nearby in the ruins of an old castle. It was cold, but the storm had set. And there were artists who offered their paintings to the people. But I thought to myself: I give away everyday my feelings to the whole world and that feels extremely good! Daily Painting on old towns 29 November 2009, 7:46 Stadt im Grünen, Aquarell und Acryl auf Zerkall-Bütten, 15 x 22,5 cm
This was a wild day. The storm blew around the house, chasing white gushs of rain across the valley. I stood warm and safe in the window, looked to the flank of the hill and enjoyed the sight of the rain. Daily Painting about good ghosts passing by 28 November 2009, 8:06 Die guten Geister über der Stadt, Acryl über Aquarell, 25 x 22,5 cm
Today I had a meeting with mayor and head of school to build a connection with National Park Eifel. They offered me an old tower standing in the town to work with the pupils. Allright, but what will the pupils do? Join? Ignore it? Daily Painting about towers and landscapes 26 November 2009, 8:46 Überhebliche Landschaft, Aquarell und Tusche auf Skizzenblock, 29,5 x 24 cm
Today I tried to fit a wooden wall at the side of my studio to have a basis for big drawings. But the walls made me crazy. They seem to be constructed from a mix between straw and beer with steel plates inside. Now I have a swiss cheese as decor. Yes, old houses have their special charm. Daily Painting about old witnesses 25 November 2009, 8:00 Die alten Zeitzeugen, Aquarell, 15 x 22 cm
Today I was very proud because my Daily Paintings Calender is on sale in Bristol now. I wanted to celebrate, but then it knocked at the door and a couple asked for my neighbour, the pastor, because they lost everything and needed help. I was deflated and tried to find somebody to initiate something for them. And I was thankful, because they reminded me in modesty. Daily Painting on „cumbrous“ people 24 November 2009, 7:45 Lauter lästige Leute, Aquarell und Kohle, 30 x 22,3 cm
It’s a little bit like a game: the wild colours tamed from the lines of discipline. That’s what it’s all about, to find the balance between the opposites and to ease the conflict. And if you simply let them go? Daily Painting about the art of the game 17 November 2009, 7:41 Die Kunst des Spiels, Aquarell, 29,7 x 21 cm
Today I was in the big town to bring the calendiary to the printer. So many people, heavy traffic in the streets. Great buildings everywhere and I looked up and couldn’t see the sky. Coming home I went in the wood and looked in an endless vicinity. Daily Painting about range 16 November 2009, 8:10 Der Wärter der Weite, Aquarell und Filzstift, 30 x 22 cm
