It was a sunny day and the last weekend in summer. Everybody went outside and stormed the garden restaurants. But it was so idiotic cold, that the innkeepers ran around and issued woolen blankets. What a sight: september sun, summer drinks and freezing people. Daily Painting about picnic 19 September 2010, 7:56 pm Picnic on the green site, pencil on watercolour, 18 x 22 cm
Sometimes I feel like the death of my father was yesterday and not more than two years ago. Today is such day. This Daily Painting is for all people who lost their fathers, mothers or anybody else they loved. With special regards and lots of love 11 September 2010, 6:05 pm The beauty of love in dark in gloomy times, watercolour with pencil, 29,5 x 20,7 cm
On the telephone pole the swallows start gathering. They sit on the cables like a Schönberg musical score. Only a few days and they will leave. It’s always sad to see them go. It’s like they take the light with them and ring in the winter. Daily Painting about migrating birds 31 August 2010, 7:48 pm There comes a time, you want to migrate with the birds, watercolour with pencil, 14 x 23 cm
Dear Pencil, I know that you have a hard life in my studio. Every day I take you and force you to draw line after line without pause. Now I want to thank you for your efforts. I see that you are exhausted when you cry your wooden tears. Daily Painting about pencils 16 August 2010, 7:59 pm The tears of the pencil, watercolour with pencil and wooden chips, 18 x 24 cm
On some days I turn to Mrs Clouseau. Today I tried to vacuum my house – I think there is no single sock left at all. But then I laugh about myself. Sometimes I’m not a great artist, but just a little woman – good is: the way down isn’t so far. Daily Painting about littleness 12 August 2010, 7:49 pm The small ones don’t falls so far, pencil, 19 x 14 cm
Today was International Day of the cat. Somehow my animals heared about that and were totally obnoxious. They stepped with dirty feet on my fresh watercolours, vomited stinky batches of something on the feet of our guests and terrorised the dogs. Who invented this day?!? Daily Painting about animals 8 August 2010, 7:59 pm Like cat and dog, watercolour with ink and pencil, 17,4 x 21 cm
This morning was sunny and the day ended with rain. But my spirit went exactly vice versa, down in the morning, up in the evening. Sometimes my mind conforms to its own rules, like sand running through a mental hourglass. Daily Painting about hourglass 23 July 2010, 7:55 pm Dance in body’s own hourglass, watercolour and pencil, 16 x 13,5 cm
Good that it rains a little bit in these minutes. It’s so dry people start speaking about drought. I saw the little streams in the wood vanish. Good that I’m no ballett swan, it would be difficult to find a serious lake to die on. Daily Painting about swanpuddle 21 July 2010, 7:37 pm From time to time a swanpuddle has to be enough, ink and pencil on watercolour, 24 x 17 cm
Today I had an interview for a history project about the art scene in the 70s. So many words about me, about the past and about the fights we fought. Actually I love hearing myself talk, but the Daily Paintings inspired me to paint what I have to say. Daily Painting about silentness 14 July 2010, 7:59 pm The guided colour shower, watercolour and pencil, 32 x 24 cm
Good! Our neighbour, the pastor, is back. Everytime he is away, there is a storm and a damage on the roof. I think his house doesn’t like him to be not there. I know that. My garden doesn’t like certain people. Everytime they come, it rains. Daily Painting about haunting 13 July 2010, 7:54 pm In my habitat many ghosts are haunting, pencil and brush drawing, coloured, 32 x 24 cm
