Some of you asked me why I rarely paint something erotic. Strange, in my eyes most of what I do has something to do with sex. But perhaps it’s a little bit hidden. So today I include a hole for the voyeurs among you. Daily Painting about cold weather and to make the best of it

Most of you know the neverending rat race housework. Tomorrow is Weiberfastnacht, Women’s Carnival Day. And I want that on this day each of these slave ships looks like the one on my Daily Painting dedicated to all brave women in the world. Rule the night ! Alaaf!!

Not one of the nicest days. Some problems here, some bad news there and then somebody nearly run over me. But you remember: I decided to fight back and now I have to lift myself by my bootstraps. Daily Painting about the fight against the evil

Sometimes you wake up in the morning and you see that this day will be dark. No light, no passion, no hope and no future. So I dedicate my Daily Painting to all of you who feel bad in these days or are beset by sorrow and send you conjurors who sing and dance the light back

5 February 2010, 7:32 pm

Today I have guests: a fellow artist from the academy in Heimbach, Hans Helle and his family. They struggled through the snow and now we’re sitting and eating and talking arts. It’s great to have so wonderful colleagues. Daily Painting about light and art

Snow the whole day. Yesterday evening it was quiet and then I heard a little bird sing a protest song. Just for a moment but I joined in and said: Yes, enough winter, let’s have some springtime! But the next weeks will be cold though. Daily Painting about birds in the night

Today I had a long talking to a police officer about a man who threatened me several times. It’s difficult, no witnesses and nothing provable. I will lead off the fight against this sick man – but smart and intelligent. You know me, I’d better love to simply puff him away! Daily Painting about headwind

Eifel Flood Disaster

The flood disaster on 14–15 July 2021 destroyed almost the entirety of Maf Räderscheidt’s life’s work when a flood wave from the Urft, approximately 3.50 high, surged through her studio on the Plan in Gemünd and swept thousands of paintings, watercolours, drawings, etchings and everything else towards Lake Urft. Consequently, almost every image posted before that date has, sadly, been destroyed and is no longer available. The few that were saved are completely ruined and contaminated by water, mud and the many unspeakable things that were washed down to Gemünd from thousands of garden sheds, cars, heating oil tanks and five sewage treatment works.
