Good that it rains a little bit in these minutes. It’s so dry people start speaking about drought. I saw the little streams in the wood vanish. Good that I’m no ballett swan, it would be difficult to find a serious lake to die on. Daily Painting about swanpuddle 21 July 2010, 7:37 pm From time to time a swanpuddle has to be enough, ink and pencil on watercolour, 24 x 17 cm
Today I’m going to a double feature party: the mayor has birthday and a housewarming party. I think everybody who feels himself being important in our little town will be there, so it could be a gossip factory like the weekly market. Daily Painting about parties 16 July 2010, 6:58 pm Invitation to dance, ink and watercolour, 21 x 29 cm
Some people tell me I’m gifted in arts. But in my eyes the real gift is that I can paint, draw or engrave whenever I want to. Each morning I greet my colours and my brushes and I am thankful that I can enjoy the world to the full colours. Daily Painting about colours 10 July 2010, 6:25 pm Sorry, this entry is only available in Deutsch.
During the world cup it’s fashionable in Germany to decorate your car with the flag of your favourite country. When I work on my landscape painting project I always try to find a flag, but alas! a good landscape has no nationality. Daily Painting about flags 25 June 2010, 8:08 pm My flag is the fine landscape, ink drawing on watercolour, 17,5 x 23 cm
This is the time of the cherries. And this is not only a hint for ripe fruits but it’s also a song from the french revolution about the power you need going your own way and never giving up. And it is still one of my favourite places in Cologne too. Daily Painting about autonomy 23 June 2010, 7:42 pm Time of cherries, ink and watercolour, 20 x 21 cm
I worked all day to finish an environment that I will bring tomorrow to the academy. And now I’m tired, covered with paint and very satisfied with myself. Weekend may come. Just two days but I will enjoy them, even when I get older meanwhile. Daily Painting about recreation 18 June 2010, 7:40 pm Dream of a time-limited foambath, acrylic and ink with plaster and inkpen, 32 x 24 cm
Today was Farmer’s Market in Schleiden. Actually it is not only a market, but a social meeting point, see and be seen. But above all this market is the heart of the local Gossip Exchange System, so I feel myself completely informed now! Daily Painting about gossips 13 June 2010, 7:58 pm Gossip factory, ink, watercolour and charcoal, 24 x 32 cm
When it’s so cold and rainy I dream I would be back in Italy, sun, singing pizzaiolos, the wonderful food and all this art you can find everywhere. But when it’s so wet as in the last days perhaps I end up in Venice – not the baddest place. Daily Painting about my old refuge 31 May 2010, 7:41 pm untitled(Gondoliere), Ink, Oil, washed, 29,8 x 21 cm
Today I held a speech for the photographer Hans Helle. And when I drove home, still inspired, I fell in love with the light over the sea nearby and I remembered that the light is the essential food of the artist, without it we all are dumb! Daily Painting about light 29 May 2010, 7:41 pm Attracted by the light, watercolour with ink and rim of glass, 24,5 x 22,5 cm
A wonderful day, sunny and warm. I went into the garden and cuddled a little bit with my plants – until I found an old stick in the rosebed. Then I said to myself: Perhaps this is just the perfect stick to do a quick drawing… Daily Painting done with a stick about the touch of earth 21 May 2010, 7:54 pm In joint with the earth, watercolour with stick and ink, 22 x 18,5 cm
