It is a present to live in a little locality like mine that can’t decide being town or village: no chaotic christmas shopping, no hunt for a parking place. Today I decorated the house with ivy and collars and light. Not too avantgardistic I know, but I miss the green a little bit in these days. But all this will help to wait for the spring. Sometimes I ask myself: was it really a good idea to go on the countryside? Today I was very proud because my Daily Paintings Calender is on sale in Bristol now. I wanted to celebrate, but then it knocked at the door and a couple asked for my neighbour, the pastor, because they lost everything and needed help. I was deflated and tried to find somebody to initiate something for them. And I was thankful, because they reminded me in modesty. Today I passed with my car a gigantic truck and a huge stone flew directly in my windscreen. It made a horrible noise and the glass was destroyed but that’s all.
