This was accident day. I fell down the stairs, burnt myself at the oven, dropped pots on my foot, threw flowers out of the window, spilled pink paint on the Pinscher and took a tomato sauce shower. I hope I won’t crash Twitter! Daily Painting about chaos

« I’m totally depressed when I have to watch on TV soldiers murdering and hijacking. My dream of global peace is shattered by officially supported violence, again and again. This time it’s Israel, who’s next? Daily Painting about broken hearts
Today is Corpus Christi and in the church next door was a huge procession with hundreds of people, marching band, several priests and billows of incense. But as a real Eifel procession it was totally anarchic and everybody went where he liked and prayed what he liked and sang what he liked. Or he chatted. Daily Painting about processions »

Eifel Flood Disaster

The flood disaster on 14–15 July 2021 destroyed almost the entirety of Maf Räderscheidt’s life’s work when a flood wave from the Urft, approximately 3.50 high, surged through her studio on the Plan in Gemünd and swept thousands of paintings, watercolours, drawings, etchings and everything else towards Lake Urft. Consequently, almost every image posted before that date has, sadly, been destroyed and is no longer available. The few that were saved are completely ruined and contaminated by water, mud and the many unspeakable things that were washed down to Gemünd from thousands of garden sheds, cars, heating oil tanks and five sewage treatment works.
