Tomorrow morning I found a dead baby owl right under the tower of the church vis-à-vis. I guess it fell out of the nest, it still had a mouse in the beak. A barn owl, an expert told me who looked at it. I’m very sad, I will bury it now. Daily Painting about that dead little owl

« We all know how we stumble through our lives and try to avoid all these snares. Perhaps in live it’s a little bit like in love and you have to kiss many frogs to find a prince. But when I look outside I think it’s still too cold to kiss frogs. Daily Painting about kissing frogs
It’s unfair! It’s spring and everywhere I see beauty developing. And when I look in the mirror I see the same old face I already know for years. So I decided to have a wellness day today and went to my cosmetician. Daily Painting about beauty in contest »

Eifel Flood Disaster

The flood disaster on 14–15 July 2021 destroyed almost the entirety of Maf Räderscheidt’s life’s work when a flood wave from the Urft, approximately 3.50 high, surged through her studio on the Plan in Gemünd and swept thousands of paintings, watercolours, drawings, etchings and everything else towards Lake Urft. Consequently, almost every image posted before that date has, sadly, been destroyed and is no longer available. The few that were saved are completely ruined and contaminated by water, mud and the many unspeakable things that were washed down to Gemünd from thousands of garden sheds, cars, heating oil tanks and five sewage treatment works.
