Yesterday I got a special present: My old needlework book I lended a classmate 50 years ago! Bad memories, I hated it, the boys did handicrafts and the only thing I learned was what we call the witch stitch, the russian stitch. My needlework always was knotty and bloody because the needles were more often in my fingers than in the cloth. And now, after a lifetime I get this book back and see all the dispair stitched in the little fabrics, when I cried and wished someday I would be a painter. Daily Painting about life’s path
