When a young lioness goes on a trip, all of the animals in the kingdom hold their breath. Life calls and leads her out into the world. It’s dangerous out there, but the thoughts of the folks back home are her guide. Daily Painting about lions

Tonight’s Daily Painting is sold and  will enliven a home. I imagined how it will look once, how the landscape looks like, the animals and let go of the warmth of the living room and then I let go my brush on a trip. Daily Painting about dreams

Repeatedly I meet people who are considering how they could spend the time. Where to go on their next vacation, the next short trip, the weekend. Amazed, I follow exotic conversation while I take pace again to put on my hurdles race with the painting time. Daily Painting about pleasure

It appears to be a moment ago, that I had to water the garden and iron the light summer clothes. And suddenly an unfamiliar yellow comes in the color of the trees, the sky turns dark, and I am thinking of long nights, storms, red wine, and whether I have enough firewood for the long, dark time. Eifel Flood Disaster

The flood disaster on 14–15 July 2021 destroyed almost the entirety of Maf Räderscheidt’s life’s work when a flood wave from the Urft, approximately 3.50 high, surged through her studio on the Plan in Gemünd and swept thousands of paintings, watercolours, drawings, etchings and everything else towards Lake Urft. Consequently, almost every image posted before that date has, sadly, been destroyed and is no longer available. The few that were saved are completely ruined and contaminated by water, mud and the many unspeakable things that were washed down to Gemünd from thousands of garden sheds, cars, heating oil tanks and five sewage treatment works.
