On Tuesday the editor of our daily newspaper asked me, what I had worked about “mourning”. She picked my Daily Painting of August, 12th , “For those who weep.” The accompanying article is now published in the “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger” and available on the internet.

And then, in the snow, the sun shines and the silhouettes dance shadows in my studio
In these days I’m working in the “Hotel zum Urfttal” in Gemünd/Eifel, where I do a wall painting about the building year of the house “1953”
The “Hotel zum Urfttal” is situated in the former town hall of Gemünd in the Eifel. The owners, Mr and Mrs Hartmann, wanted a big wall painting on one side of the former entrance hall, where the foundation stone is visible.

At the moment I’m working in silhouettes that are arranged to a huge environment. At the moment they dance before the snowy panorama and throw their shadows on the white landscape
